Hi there bloggy friends
Can anyone tell me where this past month has gone? Time is whizzing by this year isn’t it! Despite all good intentions no blog posts have been written or many goals achieved yet I’ve been busy, busy, busy but with nothing much to show for all my busy-ness.
Here is one thing I’ve been working on though; a free tutorial to make a Tunisian Crochet Washcloth, it’s now up over at My Poppet. Have you tried Tunisian Crochet yet? It’s a fun new addiction to add to your bag of crochet tricks.
This is a quick and easy project combining Tunisian crochet to make the washer then finished off with a crochet border.
With Christmas just around the corner these would make a great stocking stuffer wrapped around a nice smelly soap.
And just when you thought you won’t see me again for another month complaining about how fast time is flying, I’ll be back in a couple of days with a feature story, a book review and a giveaway.
See you then

HI Michelle – I’ve been following your page on FB for a while and came over to check out your blog. This is the perfect project in Tunisian crochet that I’ve been looking for! I have some hooks and want to start with something small and these are colourful and practical. Ideal. Will be heading over to the tutorial very soon xx Kathryn
Thanks for popping over Kathryn. This will be the perfect starter project for you and be careful it can be very addictive 😉
I saw this featured as a guest post on My Poppet. These are so lovely, and I just love the bright colors. Do you mind sharing what yarn you used for this project? I’m always on the lookout for good cotton yarn. Thanks!
Thanks Arianna 🙂 I’ve used a couple of different cottons for these. Most are Bendigo Woollen Mills Cotton used doubled and the rest are Drops Paris (which I love the most except it is very splitty). Hope this helps.
It sure does! I’m off to scour the Internet for these 🙂 thank you!
These are super cute – I love the colours you’ve used. Question, what type of yarn do you use for dishcloths?
Thanks Nicole I use cotton yarn (must be soft)
I’m wondering what brand of cotton yarn you used. The cotton yarn I’m finding in stores is so dull and washed out looking.
Hi Rhonda, I’ve used Drops Paris cotton for most of these.
I can’t seem to find the pattern. I really want to make some for my mom…I pinned it a while back but can’t get the link to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there Kathleen this pattern is hosted on another site where I was guest blogging at the time. I’ve just checked the link and it appears that their whole site is down at the moment. I’m sure that it will be back up and running soon so I can only suggest that you check back later.
